Mekamu Kedir Jemal is a Senior Research Analyst in the Development Strategies and Governance Unit at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). He specializes in the integration, visualization, and analysis of both spatial and non-spatial data, with a focus on poverty, food security, agriculture across various countries in Africa (including Ethiopia, Nigeria, Malawi and Ghana), Asia (Myanmar, Bangladesh, Pakistan), and the Asia-Pacific region, particularly Papua New Guinea. He holds Master of Science in GIS and Remote Sensing and bachelor’s degree in Land Resource Management and Environmental Protection."
