Support Those Unable to Fast: Fidya (Fidyah) Donation Appeal
In instances where fasting during any days of Ramadan becomes impossible, a charitable compensation is required. Fidya (Fidyah) serves as a means to fulfill this obligation for missed fasts that cannot be made up afterward.
What is Fidya?
Fidya is a charitable contribution made when an individual, due to reasons such as a long-term health condition, is unable to observe fasts during Ramadan and cannot compensate for the missed days later. In such cases, the person is encouraged to pay Fidya to ensure that someone else is provided with the means to be fed.
Your support in this Fidya donation appeal helps extend compassion to those facing challenges in observing fasts, allowing them to fulfill their religious obligations with dignity. Join us in this meaningful endeavor to assist those unable to fast and contribute to their well-being during the blessed month of Ramadan
Why is Fidya important in Islam?
To make up for missing fasts Ramadan is a commandment from Allah.
TFasting is for a fixed number of days, and if one of you be sick, or if one of you be on a journey, you will fast the same number of other days later on. For those who are capable of fasting (but still do not fast) there is a redemption: feeding a needy man for each day missed. Whoever voluntarily does more good than is required, will find it better for him; and that you should fast is better for you, if you only know. (Qur’an 2:184)
Note: Fidya is primarily for those who are suffering from long term illness or unable to fast due to old age, and are not able to make up the fasts after Ramadan.Select Payment Method
